Working with the Reserve
The Reserve engages contractors for a range of works including infrastructure maintenance, environmental programs, fencing, road works, and specialised services. Here's what you need to know.
Who We Engage
LRAOR engages local and regional contractors across a range of trade and professional disciplines. Work on the Reserve includes:
Civil & Road Works
Grading, drainage, road formation and track maintenance across the Reserve.
Fencing
Boundary, exclusion and stock fencing on Crown land across the Reserve.
Environmental Programs
Weed control, pest management, biocontrol support and revegetation works.
Specialised Mechanical
Plant and equipment servicing, repairs and specialist mechanical work.
Building Maintenance
Maintenance and repair of buildings and structures on Reserve land.
Professional Services
Surveying, environmental consulting, engineering and other specialist advisory services.
Requirements for Contractors
All contractors engaged by LRAOR must meet the following requirements before commencing work:

Public liability insurance, minimum $20 million
A current certificate of currency must be provided prior to engagement.

Workers compensation insurance
Required where the contractor employs workers, in accordance with NSW law.

Relevant licences for the work type
Trade licences, contractor licences and any work-type-specific authorisations must be current and produced on request.

ABN and GST registration
An active Australian Business Number is required for all contractors. GST registration is required where annual turnover exceeds the threshold.

WHS compliance
All contractors must comply with their obligations under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (NSW) and any LRAOR site-specific requirements.

- Your business name and trading name (if different)
- ABN
- Trade or service type
- Current public liability insurance certificate of currency
Tender & Procurement
Larger works and significant contracts may be subject to a formal tender process. Where a tender is advertised, LRAOR will publish details on this page and may also contact contractors already registered with us.
