Wandella Research & Education Hub

The Wandella farmhouse precinct has been transformed into a long-term base for visiting researchers, school groups, community programs and collaborative projects.

The next step: converting the historic Wandella shearing shed into a purpose-built education and research facility — a permanent home for discovery, learning and innovation on Country.

The Wandella farmhouse is hosting an expanding calendar of school groups and community programs, with demand growing year on year.

600+ tubs of Hudson Pear biocontrol released

Working with NSW DPIRD and Local Land Services, we released cochineal biocontrol agents across Crown land areas of the opal fields in 2025.

Outback red dirt road through open land — the Grawin Front Road upgrade

Infrastructure

Grawin Front Road gazetted and upgraded

After years of advocacy, the Grawin Front Road has been formally gazetted and upgraded by Walgett Shire Council, improving access for the whole community.
